General information
All maps, books and guide books offered are guaranteed to be authentic originals, worked out or printed at or about (c) the date given. Where facsimiles or photocopies are offered this is explicitly stated in the description.
Descriptions of the shown items were all made to the best of my knowledge. They are all in good to perfect condition, if not stated otherwise. Buyers are asked to read the description carefully and ask for more information or images if required.
Dimensions are given in millimeters (height x width, without frame).
Conditions of sale with the cancellation instruction

Most items shown on my website are for sale unless reserved for a limited time for another prospective buyer. If you would like to buy an item, you can send me a reservation inquiry, e.g. with our reservations inquiry form or by e-mail. After receiving your reservations inquiry I will inform you by e-mail about the availability of the item(s) you are interested in, the mailing expenses and your cancellation right. A sales contract will be concluded only when the item(s) are delivered.
All reservations inquiries will be processed chronologically as received. Orders on approval only as agreed. All items offered are subject to prior sale. There is no obligation for delivery.
Right of Cancellation
Items ordered from my website can be returned at your cost within 14 days without giving reasons.
The cancellation period begins at the earliest after receipt of a written cancellation instruction (by letter or e-mail), but not before you receive the merchandise (or a first part of it).
You meet the deadline by dispatching the item(s) or the cancellation instruction on time. Return the item(s) - at your own risk and expense - to the following address:

Right of Return
In case of a valid return due to description of item being incorrect I promise to refund any return postage incurred by the prospective buyer. In case of a return for any other reason the prospective buyer pays shipping and handling. Provided the item has not been damaged in transit the buyer will have their full payment refunded. In case of a decline in value of the merchandise compensation can be brought to account.
Prices and payment
All prices are given in EURO (€) and exclude VAT (value-added tax). Kit Batten is a private person and the goods for sale are his personal property. No VAT is applied.
Payment has to be made in advance (unless agreed otherwise) in cash, by personal cheque (GB), bank transfer (EU) or Paypal (all countries).

Reservation of ownership
Ownership of the ordered item(s) will pass to the customer only with the complete payment.
Shipping and handling
Unless stated delivery at the customer's risk and expense, fully insured on the customer's special request only. I will inform you in advance about the shipping and handling costs (and about the costs of any insurance - if requested) by letter or e-mail. Some cheaper items are offered post free. Please note I do not accept returns on items below a value of €25.
Data security and disclaimer
Your personal data will be kept by me in confidence and will not be given to others. Generally data will be kept only until both parties are satisfied with the transaction.
All contents of my website are worked out very carefully and updated regularly, but no responsibility can be taken for their topicality, correctness and completeness.
Kit Batten is not liable for any contents of websites linked or referred to from this website.
Final clause
Place of performance and jurisdiction is Stuttgart/Germany. Any disputes which may arise are subject to German law.
With the order the customer accepts these conditions of sale.
Errors, omissions, and changes without notice are excepted.
